WOMEN & GIRLS CRICKET


Woolworths Cricket Blast
(Age 5 - 10)

Buzzing with the energy of Big Bash cricket, Woolworths Cricket Blast is about fun activities and action-packed games for children of all abilities.

Cricket Blasters is available to children aged 5-10 from August to April statewide.

Woolworths Cricket Blast is Australian Cricket’s entry level program – the first step in the Australian Cricket Pathway.

Split into three streams (Cricket Blasters, Pop-up Blast and Holiday Programs), it can be run by both schools and clubs with the intention of developing fundamental cricket skills, igniting a passion for the game, and eventually transitioning participants into junior cricket teams.


Little Strikers Program
(Age 8 - 10)

The Little Strikers Program is designed for young players as the next step from Woolworths Cricket Blast or new players entering into the game.

This four-week program runs in February across various metropolitan locations and gives participants a sample of the skills needed to progress into the Strikers Girls Cricket League


Strikers Girls Cricket League 
(Age 9 - 17)

The Strikers Girls Cricket League is the overarching girls-only junior community cricket competition in South Australia.


This League is open for girls aged 9-17 years of all abilities and skill levels.

The South Australian Cricket Association administer each of the Strikers Girls Cricket League competitions across South Australia.

SACA Representative Carnival

(U16 Girls)

SACA Representative Carnivals competitions bring together the best underage cricketers from across both metropolitan and country community Clubs and Associations. The format includes an opportunity for players to play against fellow city-based or country-based teams before a crossover opportunity against new opposition they may not otherwise encounter.

 

The teams represent the five junior metropolitan Associations (Adelaide Turf, North East Juniors, Para Districts, South Central and Western Suburbs), and the eight country Zones (Barossa & Light, Eyre Peninsula, Fleurieu & Districts, Mid North, Murray Districts / Barrier, South East, Upper North, Yorke Peninsula).

Premier Cricket Youth League

(U18 Girls)

The Youth League is the Premier Cricket option for girls under the age of 18 who demonstrate the talent and potential to play senior premier cricket and ultimately, state cricket.

The Youth League will help support the development of underage state team players and is T20 format.

 

The competition is played on Wednesday evenings from January through to March involving teams from seven premier clubs

Women's Premier Cricket

The Women’s Premier Cricket competition is for women and girls progressing out of Community Cricket and is the pinnacle of competitive club cricket in Adelaide. It is played on Sundays around the Adelaide metropolitan area. Both T20 and 40/50-over formats are played through 1st and 2nd Grade teams.
